A HIPSHAKIN’ VACATION

After a hiatus of 15 years THE WILD WEEKEND returned better than ever. We took over an incredible mid century Aztec styled hotel on the glorious island of Mallorca complete with 3 swimming pools, spa, buffet breakfast & dinner and only a few steps from the beach.

HOLLYWOOD NIGHTOUT
We hired a legendary Mallorcan nightclub dating back from the thirties and apparently built by a Chicago gangster for the first night. Titos Nighclub is built into the cliffs facing the port of Mallorca and has a glass lift that elevates you upto the glittering, zebra, mirrored kitsch of the club. Josephine Baker, Shirley Bassey & Frank Sinatra had all performed and partied there back in the day. We were lucky to get there when we did cos the club is no longer there. The Velvet Cabaret burlesque troup from Rome performed to a crowd dressed in their finest vintage eveningwear.

ART & POP CULTURE TALKS
In the afternoons we had curated presentations by tattoo & low brow artist SUNNY BUICK, 60s Pop Historian & author DOMINIC PIORE and rock n roll mystic musician KING KHAN explaining the hidden meanings of his Black Power Tarot.

VILLAINS HIDEOUT was the Friday night full of baddies, monsters, no gooders plus the odd victim…
Saturday was a TECHNICOLOR FREAKOUT: a mid-century mondo movie character mayhem, with Bands, Djs and GoGo dancing galore every night.

Sunday was WIPEOUT and only mildly less wild than the other nights with a Poolside stage as the finale, with
THE TANDOORI KNIGHTS ending a hugely successful and memorable comeback for THE WILD WEEKEND!
